An outdoor garden bench is functional and decorative. Place a bench in a shady place to relax or near a feeder for hours of entertainment. Bank styles vary and can be built to blend in with landscape themes. A solid brick leg bench will last time and wear, offering an option to be attractive. This classic bank project requires an already paved area, which is a practical addition near a basketball hoop or in a concrete courtyard. This bank can be built in one afternoon and is ready to use the next day.
Select a site to build the Bank level. The area must be flat with a pre-existing Foundation such as concrete. Spread a thin layer of mortar on the floor, about 16 by 8 inches wide, for the first stage. Four bricks on top of this layer, next to the pile. Sandwich the bricks with mortar. Spread another layer of mortar on top of these four bricks.
