Grout is easily scored when heavy objects are dropped on it. In wet areas, such as kitchen grout can be weakened by moisture. Grout joins the chips together and prevents leaks from entering the subsoil. If the grout is weakened, there is a risk of ruining its subsoil and the other parts with it.
