An entryway bench with shoe storage has a double purpose. You can store the shoes on it, as well as use it as a place to sit. When creating one, you must take both of these uses into record. The bank will need to be long enough to store a few pairs of shoes and also needs high enough to make a comfortable chair height. This bench is quite easy for someone who has just started doing some woodworking. If you have any knowledge, this will only take several of hours to do. This bank can be as simple as decorative or you want.

Measure 16 inches, twice, in a pine tree of 1 by 10. Use a ruler to mark this measurement in all areas. Place the side boards on the floor. Place a 1 pound coffee can partially on the bottom of each table. You have to cut the path around the can so that the feet of the bench.  Soften the cut you just made with 120-grit sandpaper. Place a flat oak stair tread on the floor, face down. Remove the sides of the stair tread. Measure and cut the tread 24 inches long.

Turn the bank to the right. Measure up to 3 inches from the bottom of both sides and mark with a pencil. Place the base piece under the platform. The top edge of the base piece should be flat against the bottom of the platform. Nail the base in place with nails without a head. Sand the smooth project with 120-grit sandpaper.
